Meals

Our meals are freshly prepared each day on the premises. We do our utmost to source fresh, local produce and to cater for any allergies or additional requirements.

In 2012 we requested advice and training from the School Food Trust with regard to the new Voluntary Food and Drink Guidelines for Early Years Settings published in 2011.  As a result of this advice we have revised our menus and snack options.

FoodHygene

Our aim is to provide healthy, balanced and nutritious food and drink options for all children in our care.

 

Breakfast

Children attending before 8.30am will be offered a choice of:

  • a selection of cereals with semi-skimmed milk (or full-fat milk for under 2’s)
  • toast with a choice of toppings
  • a variety of fruit
  • an option of milk or water to drink

 

LUNCH & TEA MENU FOR THE SUMMER TERM  

Allergen lists are available on request.
Children will only be given an alternative by request of the parent.
The light tea will also consist of a light pudding with either a cake, yoghurt, mousse or a piece of fruit.

Chicken fillets with vegetable couscous & salad Baked Ham and Pasta. Sausage Plait with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

 

Roast Chicken

Roast Pots & vegetables

 

Spaghetti Bolognaise and garlic bread.

 

PUDDING Stewed fruit (apple or pears) and Yogurt Waffles with ice cream & fresh fruit coulis. Strawberry Whip with swiss roll Banana muffin or blueberry muffin Crumble and custard

 

LIGHT TEA SERVED @ 4.30PM Crumpets and toppings Beans or Cheese on toast Scrambled egg on toast

 

 

Buffet tea – nuggets, veg sticks, little sausages, boiled egg, cubed cheese; savoury snacks etc. Sandwich/wrap tea + savoury snacks/crisps

Pizza, sweet potato wedges and salad

 

 

Lasagne with jacket potato halves Chicken Risotto Shepherd’s Pie

 

 

Fish Fingers with peas and sweet corn + oven chips

 

PUDDING Fresh fruit kebabs Homemade cookies and ice cream. Eves pudding

 

Fresh Fruit &Yogurt Sponge pudding

 

LIGHT TEA SERVED @ 4.30PM Cheesy pasta Buffet tea – nuggets; veg. sticks; little sausages; boiled egg; cubed cheese; savoury snacks etc Cheese on toast + Carrot cake for pud.
