The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum was introduced in September 2008 for all children from birth to five.
The EYFS was revised in September 2012 and again in 2014.
The EYFS provides the guidance and statutory requirements that we, as Early Years Providers, have to adhere to. As part of the EYFS we are required to keep and update records of your child. Please contact us if you would like more information on the EYFS or have a look on the Government website.
“Children develop quickly in the early years, and early years practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best possible start in life. Children have a right, spelled out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to provision which enables them to develop their personalities, talents and abilities irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities or gender.” (EYFS 2012)
